Grace UMC Changes:  Updated Friday, August 27, 2021

Summary of Grace UMC Recent Updates

A return to yellow involves more things than just a return to masking. The direction from the Conference is to continue to monitor the county numbers and make changes as needed. If the spread number is over 5% we should follow all of the yellow protocols. At this time(8/25), Crow Wing county is at 10.6%, Cass county is at 12.7%. If you are following along, this is another increase over last week unfortunately. Please prayerfully consider how to keep yourself and those around you safe. Masking is the easiest thing that we can do. It is my hope that if the numbers stay where they are that we will not need to return to distanced seating in the sanctuary and no singing by the congregation. We are monitoring the county numbers closely and changes may happen rapidly. The goal is always to create a safe space for worship for everyone.

Grace’s Building Update Changes – August 2, 2021

Summary of Grace UMC changes:

Due to the recent recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health, we are asking that everyone wear a mask upon entering Grace UMC. The current increase in positive COVID cases has prompted this decision from the MDH. Masks are suggested for anyone gathered indoors together, regardless of vaccination status.

In an effort to keep everyone safe, and to help stop the spread, we have made the decision to require masks for everyone within the church building beginning August 3.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Grace and peace,
Pastor Jen
