Shop Day
For many years members of Grace United Methodist Church have provided a fun Christmas shopping experience for children in our community. The tradition will continue this year! Children’s Community Shop Day will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 10 am to 1 pm at the church just 2 miles south of Pequot Lakes on Patriot Avenue (29432 Patriot Avenue).
Children from ages 4-12 will get the chance to shop for mom, dad, grandparents and their siblings. Please come with a shopping list. Each gift is just $1.00 including gift wrap! Shopping assistants, “Helper Elves”, will be available to assist children with their shopping. Over the years it has been fun to watch the thoughtful, meaningful, decision making that goes into picking just the right gift. This is an opportunity for the kids to share the spirit of giving in a very special, economical way. Many families participate every year – making it one of their favorite holiday traditions.
All of the gifts are new or gently used items from the Grace Church community. Favorite items may include jewelry, small tools, hats, toys, games, candles and home decor.
